The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) and the visiting Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), observed Ropes's basketball team knock off Sundown by a score of 52-35.

The Eagles (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Morton (Morton, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region I District 5 challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Morton was knocked off by Seagraves (Seagraves, TX), 27-9, in a league challenge.
