Virginia High School Basketball - John Champe holds off Woodgrove
December 15, 2022: Purcellville, VA 20132 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA) and the host Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA), saw John Champe's basketball squad hold off Woodgrove by a tally of 48-45.
With the victory, John Champe improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Battlefield (Haymarket, VA) to confront the Bobcats in a Cedar Run challenge on Friday, December 16. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-0. Battlefield won 72-50 in their recent league challenge against Osbourn Park (Manassas, VA)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Osbourn Eagles (Manassas, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Woodgrove will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
