Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD), 58-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lower Brule upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Sioux travel to Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Rapid City Christian won 77-61 in their recent non-league bout against Red Cloud (Pine Ridge, SD)

Next up, the Thorpes clash with the Red Cloud Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Pine Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
