Michigan High School Basketball - Mendon crushes Athens

Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Athens Indians (Athens, MI), 65-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Mendon upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hornets host St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Fighting Tigers in a Southern Central bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Fighting Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-2. St. Philip Catholic Central won 65-20 in their recent non-league bout against Marshall Academy (Marshall, MI)

Next up, the Indians play the Union City Chargers (Union City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 55-37 non-league loss to Hanover-Horton (Horton, MI).
