Virginia High School Basketball - Sherando crushes James Wood
December 15, 2023: Stephens City, VA 22655 Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), 78-56 in a league bout.
With the victory, Sherando upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Musselman (Inwood, WV) to play the Applemen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Applemen come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Musselman won 61-60 in their recent non-league bout against Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV)
Next up, the Colonels play the Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. James Wood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 62-52 non-league loss to Skyline (Front Royal, VA).
