Virginia High School Basketball - Handley tops Sherando
February 7, 2024: Stephens City, VA 22655 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Handley Judges (Winchester, VA) and the host Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA), saw Handley's basketball squad knock off Sherando by a count of 73-59.
With the victory, Handley upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Judges travel to James Wood (Winchester, VA) to play the Colonels in a Northwestern challenge on Friday, February 9. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. James Wood lost 49-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Washington (Charles Town, WV)
Next up, the Warriors play the Millbrook Pioneers (Winchester, VA) in a Northwestern challenge, on Friday, February 9. Sherando will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 7-15 record after their 64-55 non-league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
