December 15, 2023: Solon, IA 52333 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) and the visiting Marion Wolves (Marion, IA), saw Solon's basketball squad hold off Marion by a tally of 62-56.
With the victory, Solon improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host West Branch (West Branch, IA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. West Branch won 60-48 in their recent league challenge against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA)
Next up, the Wolves play the West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Marion will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 62-32 non-league win over Independence (Independence, IA).
