Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI) and the visiting Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI), saw Meridian's basketball squad overcome Shepherd by a tally of 63-50.

With the victory, Meridian improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Bullock Creek (Midland, MI) to confront the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1.
