The Freedom Patriots basketball team (Morganton, NC), was toppled 53-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Lincoln for a battle on Friday, January 5. Hickory will confront a Knights team coming off a 32-20 league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 8-0.

The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record.
