The Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball felled the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 56-45 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Patriots (4-0) will now prepare for their test against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, East Burke thwarted Draughn (Valdese, NC), 48-32, in a non-league test.
