Florida High School Basketball - Wharton overwhelms Freedom

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wharton Wildcats (Tampa, FL) and the visiting Freedom Patriots (Tampa, FL), saw Wharton's basketball squad wallop Freedom by a tally of 48-11.

With the victory, Wharton improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Leto (Tampa, FL) to play the Falcons in a 6A District 9 challenge on Thursday, December 22. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 9-2. Leto lost 71-56 in their recent non-league test against Robinson (Tampa, FL)

The Patriots now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Spoto for a 5A District 8 test on Thursday, December 22. Freedom will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 42-40 non-league loss to Bloomingdale (Valrico, FL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-6.
