The Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders to 52 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Friday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cross Lanes Christian for a West Virginia Christian - AA contest on Saturday, January 7. Mercer Christian Academy will meet a Warriors team coming off a 62-27 non-league win over Adams County Christian (West Union, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
The Crusaders (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Webster County ran past St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV), 78-43, in a non-league contest.
