Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mercyhurst Prep upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Lakers host Erie (Erie, PA) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Erie lost 52-50 in their recent non-league bout against North Allegheny (Wexford, PA)
