Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sharon nips Grove City
January 20, 2023: Sharon, PA 16146 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) and the visiting Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA), saw Sharon's basketball squad get by Grove City by a tally of 61-57.
The Tigers now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilmington for a District 10 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Sharon will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 72-34 league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-10.
The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, North Allegheny was nudged by Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA), 59-53, in a non-league battle.
