Texas High School Basketball - Smithville crushes Lexington
December 16, 2022: Smithville, TX 78957 Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), 73-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Smithville upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Tigers travel to Manor New Tech (Manor, TX) to play the in a 4A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Manor New Tech won 48-39 in their recent non-league bout against Elgin (Elgin, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 71-43 non-league loss to Navasota (Navasota, TX).
