North Carolina High School Basketball - Polk County knocked off by Patton
December 16, 2022: Columbus, NC 28722 The Patton Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Polk County Wolverines to 58 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Caldwell for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Patton will meet a Warriors team coming off a 69-53 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
The Wolverines (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats enter the 2A Conference 41 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Hendersonville was defeated by R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC), 80-77, in a league contest.
