The Detroit Lakes Lakers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Alexandria Cardinals to 50 in the Lakers league victory on Friday.

The Lakers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sauk Rapids-Rice for a AAA Section 8 contest on Thursday, December 22.

The Cardinals (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN). The Sabres come into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record.
