The Howells-Dodge Jaguars basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars to 4 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Jaguars now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarkson/Leigh for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Howells-Dodge will meet a Patriots team coming off a 52-37 non-league win over West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE). The Patriots record now stands at 4-2.

The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (Humphrey, NE). The enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family triumphed over Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE), 72-54, in a league contest.
