Minnesota High School Basketball - Mayo overwhelms Mankato West
December 16, 2022: Rochester, MN 55904 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) and the visiting Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN), saw Mayo's basketball squad wallop Mankato West by a tally of 68-42.
With the victory, Mayo improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Owatonna (Owatonna, MN) to play the Huskies in a AAAA Section 1 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.
Next up, the Scarlets play the St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) in a AAA Section 2 challenge, on Saturday, December 17. Mankato West will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 49-38 league loss to New Prague (New Prague, MN).
