Minnesota High School Basketball - Owatonna can't hold off Mayo
February 14, 2023: Rochester, MN 55904 The Mayo Spartans basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Owatonna Huskies to 50 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Century for a AAAA Section 1 contest on Friday, February 17. Mayo will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-21 league win over Northfield (Northfield, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 15-6.
The Huskies (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Faribault (Faribault, MN). The Falcons come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 5-16 record. In their last contest, Faribault was nudged by Red Wing (Red Wing, MN), 65-25, in a league contest.
