The Gallia Academy Blue Devils basketball team scored 27 points and held the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks to 25 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Saturday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chesapeake for a Ohio Valley contest on Tuesday, December 19. Gallia Academy will meet a Panthers team coming off a 48-47 league loss to South Point (South Point, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.

The Big Blacks (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Vikings enter the Freelance contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Ripley nudged Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 60-56, in a non-league contest.
