Mississippi High School Basketball - Mize knocked off by Union
December 16, 2023: Mize, MS 39116 The Union Yellowjackets basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Mize Bulldogs to 54 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Noxapater for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Union will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-46 league win over French Camp Academy (French Camp, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-8.
The Bulldogs (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against McLaurin (Florence, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, McLaurin ran past Piney Woods (Piney Woods, MS), 56-52, in a non-league contest.
