In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Charleston Catholic Irish basketball team scored a good 34-20 triumph over the Hoover Huskies.

In their next game, the Irish meet the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a Freelance match, on Tuesday, December 19. Charleston Catholic will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Bison enter the match with a 4-1 record after their 32-21 league win over Poca (Poca, WV).

With the defeat, Hoover moves to 0-6 on the year. The Huskies host Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV) to meet the Tigers in a Coalfield AA match on Thursday, December 21. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 0-4.
