Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) and the visiting Creighton Bulldogs (Creighton, NE), saw Niobrara/Verdigre's basketball squad knock off Creighton by a count of 50-31.

With the victory, Niobrara/Verdigre upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Wausa (Wausa, NE) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Wausa lost 61-28 in their recent league challenge against Wynot (Wynot, NE)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack (Elgin, NE) in a D1 District 7 challenge, on Monday, December 18. Creighton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
