Nebraska High School Basketball - Niobrara/Verdigre crushes Boyd County

February 9, 2024: Niobrara, NE 68783

Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), 72-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Niobrara/Verdigre upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Valentine (Valentine, NE) to clash with the in a C2 District 11 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Valentine won 39-36 in their recent non-league bout against North Central (Bassett, NE)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Twin Loup Wolves (Sargent, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 48-30 non-league loss to Central Valley (Greeley, NE).
