St. Mary's Cardinals (O'Neill, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), 83-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to West Holt (Atkinson, NE) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 10-11. West Holt lost 57-39 in their recent league bout against Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE)

Next up, the Spartans play the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 57-39 league win over West Holt (Atkinson, NE).
