The Elkhorn Valley Falcons basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Boyd County Spartans to 25 in the Falcons non-league victory on Saturday.

The Falcons now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Niobrara/Verdigre for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Elkhorn Valley will battle a Cougars team coming off a 55-53 non-league win over Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 12-4.

The Spartans (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE). The Cardinals come into the D1 District 8 contest with a 14-2 record.
