Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe nips North Mahaska
December 16, 2024: Monroe, IA 50170 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs basketball team scored a close 51-48 win over the North Mahaska Warhawks.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Cubs come into the Heart of Iowa - Large contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Nevada edged Greene County (Jefferson, IA), 71-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warhawks battle the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar contest, on Tuesday, December 17. North Mahaska will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Tigerhawks come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 65-28 league loss to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA).
