The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the visiting Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX), observed Nixon's basketball team knock off Palmview by a score of 42-33.

The Mustangs (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against United (Laredo, TX). The Longhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 8-12 record. In their last challenge, United was knocked off by Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX), 65-34, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Lobos meet the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 battle, on Friday, December 19. Palmview will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 61-38 league win over Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX).
