North Carolina High School Basketball - Apex knocks off Apex Friendship

December 16, 2025: Apex, NC 27502

Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC), 52-35 in a league match.

With the victory, Apex advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Cougars host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC) to meet the Golden Hawks in a non-league match on Thursday, December 18. The Golden Hawks enter the match with a record of 6-1. Holly Springs won 58-27 in their recent non-league match against Fuquay-Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC)

The Patriots now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Panther Creek for a Quad City Seven 8A contest on Friday, December 19. Apex Friendship will battle a Catamounts team coming off a 43-23 non-league loss to Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Catamounts record now stands at 4-4.
