The Apex Cougars basketball squad (Apex, NC), was outscored 48-30 in Friday's league battle with the host Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC)

The Catamounts (9-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Falcons come into the Quad City Seven 8A challenge with a 8-13 record. In their last challenge, Green Hope prevailed over Jordan (Durham, NC), 41-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a Quad City Seven 8A challenge, on Monday, February 9. Apex will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Gators enter the battle with a 13-9 record after their 71-30 league win over Jordan (Durham, NC).
