Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dora upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Buffaloes clash with the Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM) in a A District 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Melrose will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.
