In Saturday's non-league outing, the Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) basketball squad edged the host West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA), by a count of 49-48.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Berwick (Berwick, PA). The Bulldogs go into the Wyoming Valley 1 outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Berwick was tipped by Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA), 60-47, in a non-league outing.
