The Mackay Miners basketball squad (Mackay, ID), was nudged 62-58 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Salmon Savages (Salmon, ID)

With the victory, Salmon advances its record to 2-3 on the year. The Savages host Ririe (Ririe, ID) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A Nuclear battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Miners now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockland for a 1A Rocky Mountain battle on Saturday, December 21. Mackay will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 73-58 league win over Challis (Challis, ID). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-1.
