North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom can't get by East Burke

December 17, 2024: Morganton, NC 28655

The Freedom Patriots basketball squad (Morganton, NC), was nudged 62-55 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC)

With the victory, East Burke advances its record to 9-0 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Bandys (Catawba, NC) to meet the Trojans in a 2A Catawba Valley battle on Friday, December 20. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 5-1. Bandys won 52-16 in their recent league battle against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

The Patriots now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kings Mountain for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 26. Freedom will meet a Mountaineers squad coming off a 61-16 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-7.
