The Morton Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Leake Central Gators to 36 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Simpson Academy for a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. Morton will confront a Cougars team coming off a 68-31 league win over Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Leake Central falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Gators host Murrah (Jackson, MS) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Friday, December 20. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 4-9. Murrah lost 63-37 in their recent league game against Starkville (Starkville, MS)
