Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond River overwhelms Norfolk Collegiate
December 17, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Nansemond River Warriors basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks to 37 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Warriors now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Deep Creek for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Nansemond River will play a Hornets team coming off a 74-57 non-league win over Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Norfolk Collegiate falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mighty oaks travel to Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) to play the Marlins in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 8. The Marlins go into the game with a record of 1-1.
