The Mexia Black Cats basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Connally Cadets to 57 in the Black Cats non-league victory on Monday.

The Black Cats now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shallowater for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28.

The Cadets (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Marlin (Marlin, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Marlin was nudged by Brook Hill (Bullard, TX), 64-57, in a non-league contest.
