The China Spring Cougars basketball team (China Spring, TX), was toppled 56-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX)

The Black Cats now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waco for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 9. Mexia will confront a Lions team coming off a 50-48 non-league loss to Crandall (Crandall, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-9.

The Cougars (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against East View (Georgetown, TX). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, East View beat Killeen (Killeen, TX), 53-41, in a non-league battle.
