Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) and the host Tri-Point Chargers (Cullom, IL), saw Clifton Central's basketball squad overcome Tri-Point by a tally of 39-31.

With the victory, Clifton Central improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL) to confront the Cornjerkers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Cornjerkers come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Hoopeston won 45-36 in their recent league challenge against Oakwood (Fithian, IL)

Next up, the Chargers confront the Donovan/St. Anne (Donovan, IL) in a River Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Tri-Point will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record.
