In Wednesday's league contest, the host South River Seahawks basketball team scored a close 62-56 triumph over the Meade Mustangs.

The Seahawks (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Swamp Foxes go into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 26. Meade will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.
