The Nelson County Governors were victorious over the host Chatham Cavaliers basketball squad by a final score of 55-45 in Thursday's league outing.

Next, the Governors face the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 27. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record.

The Cavaliers (2-4) will now prepare for their outing against George Washington (Danville, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, George Washington was toppled by Sherando (Stephens City, VA), 45-41, in a non-league game.
