February 13, 2026: Lovingston, VA 22949

The Nelson County Governors defeated the visiting Appomattox County Raiders basketball squad by a final score of 59-44 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Governors clash with the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood outing, on Monday, February 16. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 18-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 17-2 record after their 80-61 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA).

The Raiders (8-13) will now prepare for their bout against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels go into the Dogwood bout with a 10-11 record. In their last bout, Altavista was beaten by Gretna (Gretna, VA), 98-80, in a league bout.
