Shepherd Mustangs (Shepherd, MT) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Forsyth Dogies (Forsyth, MT), 56-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Shepherd upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Huntley Project (Worden, MT) to play the Red Devils in a B District 4 bout on Friday, January 6. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Dogies play the Baker Spartans (Baker, MT) in a B District 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 71-53 league win over Lodge Grass (Lodge Grass, MT).
