Texas High School Basketball - Sam Houston tipped by Bowie
December 19, 2023: Arlington, TX 76018 The Bowie Volunteers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Sam Houston Texans to 57 in the Volunteers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Volunteers now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boswell for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Bowie will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 45-38 league win over Trinity (Euless, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-8.
The Texans (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX). The Longhorns enter the non-league contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Cedar Hill was nudged by Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX), 64-48, in a league contest.
