Texas High School Basketball - Roosevelt knocked off by Liberty
December 19, 2023: Lubbock, TX 79403 The Liberty Patriots basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Roosevelt Eagles to 43 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Idalou for a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Thursday, December 21. Liberty will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 63-53 league win over Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-4.
The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Childress (Childress, TX). The Bobcats enter the 3A Region I District 2 contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Childress ran past Hirschi (Wichita Falls, TX), 44-41, in a non-league contest.
