December 19, 2023: Abingdon, VA 24210 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) and the visiting Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), saw Abingdon's basketball squad wallop Christiansburg by a tally of 56-23.
With the victory, Abingdon improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Virginia High (Bristol, VA) to confront the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Virginia High won 55-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Big Stone Gap, VA)
Next up, the Blue Demons confront the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Christiansburg will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Terriers come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 43-41 non-league win over Glass (Lynchburg, VA).
