Virginia High School Basketball - Loudoun County can't hold off Loudoun Valley
December 19, 2024: Purcellville, VA 20132 Loudoun Valley Vikings (Purcellville, VA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Loudoun County Captains (Leesburg, VA), 53-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Loudoun Valley advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA) to face the Wolverines in a non-league match on Friday, December 20. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 3-3. Woodgrove won 41-37 in their recent non-league match against Heritage (Leesburg, VA)
The Captains now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Anne's-Belfield for a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. Loudoun County will face a Saints squad coming off a 76-58 league win over St. Margaret's (Tappahannock, VA). The Saints record now stands at 5-0.
