Maryland High School Basketball - Sidwell Friends holds off Landon
December 2, 2022: Bethesda, MD 20817 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC) and the host Landon Bears (Bethesda, MD), saw Sidwell Friends's basketball squad hold off Landon by a tally of 46-43.
With the victory, Sidwell Friends improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Quakers travel to St. James (Hagerstown, MD) to confront the Saints in a Mid-Atlantic challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Bears confront the Potomac School Panthers (McLean, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Landon will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 43-42 non-league loss to Bullis (Potomac, MD).
