The New London Whalers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Fitch Falcons to 30 in the Whalers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Whalers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ledyard for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 23. New London will battle a Colonels team coming off a 61-55 league loss to Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Colonels record now stands at 3-1.

The Falcons (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Redmen enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Killingly triumphed over Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT), 58-26, in a non-league contest.
